Northern Wings Repair is the best kept secret of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and your source for full program logistics and supply chain support. NWR can provide a diverse selection of parts, material, repairs, manufacturing and logistics support to your project or program anywhere. We will deliver your requirements via a certified ISO Quality driven system. If your needs are aerospace related, we machine and fabricate in accordance with our AS9100 certified manufacturing process. All aviation repairs are completed under our FAA licensed facility (CRS N0WR019Y) and all parts and materials are FAA AC 00-56 compliant.

The future is now! Northern Wings is a manufacturer of various parts for the Dream Chaser. The Dream Chaser is a vertical take off, horizontal landing spaceplane. It will carry up to seven people to and from low earth orbit and deliver to the International Space Station.

Northern Wings Repair has provided high quality precision manufactured parts for the U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter. Developed in the 1960s, it is still utilized by the military to this day.

NWR supports NASA's Boeing 747SP wide-body aircraft and the SOFIA Program. This aircraft carries a 17 ton / 2.5 meter diameter telescope.

Northern Wings supports Special Operations programs with aircraft and vehicle parts as well as materials and general procurement items. (This small and nimble MH-6 can land SOF on rooftops or down in narrow side streets.)

NASA's Space Shuttle has been supported by Northern Wings Repair Inc. Our services played a significant role in its final years of successful missions.

We have provided our expertise in the support of the U.S. Navy training program utilizing the T-45 Goshawk. This aircraft was manufactured by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and is utilized as the primary jet trainer for the U.S. Navy.

NWR has manufactured and provided a number of parts and products for various models of Black Hawk helicopter.

The KC-10, a U.S Air Force aerial refueling platform has received multiple levels of support from Northern Wings Repair. NWR has been recognized with quality awards for service to this program.

The T-6A Joint Primary Air Training System turboprop is designed as a dedicated training aircraft to replace the Air Force T-37 and the Navy’s T-34C. NWR has been involved in supporting this program in every aspect from GSE and tooling to replacement aircraft parts.

David Goudreau is Michigan Minority Small Business Person of the Year
Luce County business owner David Goudreau was recognized Friday as the Contractor of the Year for both the State of Michigan and the Midwest Region by the federal Small Business Administration. The Upper Great Lakes Economic, Education and Workforce Development Summit in Marquette provided the backdrop for the award, presented by Gerald Moore, Michigan District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Goudreau’s achievements will also be celebrated at the National 8(a) Training, Business Matchmaking and Awards Ceremony event in Washington, DC on October 10.

David Goudreau is Michigan Minority Small Business Person of the Year

This year marks the 30th year that the SBA will recognize outstanding owners of minority small business for their individual achievements and contributions to our nation’s economy. David Goudreau is the owner of Northern Wings Repair, which began in a pole barn in Engadine with two employees. It is now a modern manufacturing operation located in a purpose-built 13,000 square foot facility in Newberry. Northern Wings has grown to be an AS 9100 certified aerospace manufacturer, Certificated FAA Repair Station and stocking distributor of certified material and parts for commercial and military aircraft with established satellite sales offices in Brookfield, WI; Raleigh, NC; and San Jose, CA. Northern Wings was certified into the SBA 8(a) program in 2007.

An active proponent for economic development in the Upper Peninsula, Goudreau serves as the President of the Eastern Upper Peninsula Workforce Development Board, and as a member of the Regional Economic Development Advisory Committee. He is also a charter member of the Upper Michigan Aviation Green Coalition, an SBA funded initiative, and a member of the steering committee for the Delta Aerospace and Maritime Project.
